Miller Plantation Zoo

Miller Plantation Zoo aka Farm is in full swing-almost! Most of the chickens finally made it out of our garage and into the chicken coop in the backyard. Though we have had a few mishaps along the way. One of our favorite chickens ended up being a bully and hurt some of our newest "Easter Egger" chickens, making them blind. So Justin has them in the garage hoping that they will heal, or get big enough to stand up for themselves! We have learned that "pecking order" is real and it involves a lot of pecking! We have had a few casulties as well. My favorite chicken died, but we are starting to understand what everyone has been telling us for months. Chickens are at the bottom of the food chain-they come and go. I am starting to understand that now. I would like them to come and go out of our garage though! I will be happy when all of our feathered friends are out in their chicken coop and laying eggs!
