Zoo 3!

We are really taking advantage of our Annual Zoo Pass the Thompsons gave us for Christmas! Today, since it was such a lovely spring day, we went with my parents to the zoo. The kids really wore us out, and there were more adults than children! Chasen and Sophia rode the carousel and the train this time. Sophia got a bit scared so Nani hopped on the ride with her. I saw the leopard for the first time, some how we missed him the other two visits. We forgot the petting zoo, but that's OK. We will be sure to pet the goats and pigs our next visit. Chasen was finally able to feed a parakeet. It seemed that we were in that bird house forever just waiting for a bird to finally nibble from his sesame stick! The giraffes and other large animals were off exhibit today. They are working on creating a new giraffe-feeding station this spring. That will be really fun I hope. But I imagine the lines for that will be as long a giraffe's neck! Since it was our 3rd time on our "passport" the kids got free t-shirts. We will be sure to wear them in March when we go again. Anyone want to join us?

February Update!

We have been so busy....and have not taken any pictures this month! The only pictures on our camera are from Justin taking pictures of his delicious dinners! Justin has started his own blog: http://squidbytesfood.blogspot.com

Chasen has been doing well at school. He was student of the month in his class! We are so proud of him! There is so much that a kindergarten student must know. I feel sorry for the little tykes of today. My kindergarten experience was totally different! We spent most of our day playing and creating. Today's K-student is learning to read 50+ sight words, counting to 100, learning addition/subtraction and writing -YES WRITING their own stories!

This week is our "Winter Break" and it is turning out to be a cold one so far. I thought the ground hog saw his shadow and predicted an early spring! I'm ready for it! We have a lot of doctor/dentist appointments crowded into this week. But I hope we can squeeze in some fun and relaxation as well! Just wait until you see what the Millers have REALLY been up to! It's a secret and you have to wait a few more peeps...I mean weeks to find out!
