Happy Turkey Day to you! Cha Cha Cha!

We hosted Thanksgiving again this year and had a total of 10 adults and 3 kids share in the bountiful meal! The Millers weren't scheduled to join us this year because they were on the west coast but made a surprise appearance. Our friends Travis, Katrina, and their daughter Kirsten were saved from a Cracker Barrel Thanksgiving and partied with us until midnight. Silka even came across the border from Alabama! My family was with us as well, though from these pictures you can't tell! I thought I took a lot of pictures and I didn't, a lot of BAD pictures! So I guess all I have left is the memories!

The food was great, thanks to a lot of help from friends and family. Joy and Katrina brought appetizers. My mother brought sweet potatoes and stuffing. Silka made the oyster stuffing. I made mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, rosemary cranberry, and a decadent chocolate cake. Barry made home made bread and my sister came through by becoming a "sponsor" and helping out with the costs-thanks Kim! Justin of course was in charge of the turkey and made the gravy as well. The kids had fun decorating turkey sugar cookies and doing crafts that my mom put together. We had a great time!

Halloween-our new favorite holiday!

The Millers really got their Halloween on this weekend! Saturday we met Joy for a trunk-or-treat at CrossPoint. Chasen had a BLAST! He was a knight and enjoyed all the bounce houses and obstacle courses as well as the candy! On Sunday Chasen was a cowboy and we met the Thompsons at Heritage Hill's trunk-or-treat. The candy was a bit better there because Chasen is a celebrity at his church! It was still light out so we went REAL trick-or-treating in our neighborhood! Chasen had so much fun! He ran up to every house and told everyone "Happy Halloween"! He got 4x more candy from that then both the trunk-or-treats combinded! He really got into Halloween this year, he's been asking to go trick-or-treating all week! Poor kid hasn't quite grasped that he has to wait another year!
