Drives Me Crazy
Sophia is in full force now, crawling around and pulling up! She especially loves to crawl on top of her big brother, even when he is reading! Sophia loves books just as much as Chasen does, though she prefers to eat them! Chasen is such a good sport though, he really loves his little sister!

Today's forecast....hot and muggy!
I hate to say it, but I'm ready for summer to be over! School is in and I'm back to work, so let's bring on the fall weather! It's so hot and humid here, we have no choice but to stay indoors all day. Justin hasn't grilled in weeks because it's too hot to stand outside. And I haven't jogged or walked in weeks because the humidity is so bad. This weather is not helping me get into my skinny jeans! Come on fall!
This week was the first full week of students being back at my school. Everything has gone well, but of course it all goes downhill from here! The kids are always on their best behavior the first week and slowly start acting out as the weeks progress! But I am excited that I have a room inside the building this year with an active board! I actually have one of the best rooms in my opinion, right in the center of the school! I'm so close to everywhere I need to be, I love it!
Sophia has been hitting a lot of milestones this week! She is up and rocking on her knees and does a bit of crawling now. She can also sit up from her back or her stomach. She rarely falls over when sitting now. Her biggest boo-boos are when she's going from sitting to the crawling stance. Sometimes she goes too fast and her arms give out, making her head hit the floor. She even has pulled up to standing a few times while I supported her body. I think she will be full-out crawling really soon and be walking soon after that!
Chasen had his 4 year old doctor appointment this week and is in good health. Daddy didn't come home with the exact measurements, but he remembered that he was 42 lbs and I guess I can get out a tape measure if I want to know the rest! Justin did say that Chasen is more in the 55-60 percentile range now for height and weight, so he's averaging out as he gets older. He use to always be in the 70 percentile range. There were some visits when he would have a large range from his height to his weight. One visit seemed to show that he wasn't eating enough and the last visit showed that he was eating too much. Now his height and weight match, so mommy's happy! Our poor buddy received 5 shots, so it will take some time for him to get over his fear of doctors again!

Firsts and such
It's August so that means that school has begun once again!
Chasen started public preschool last week. It's been an emotional week for sure! I'm not sure if he's not ready for preschool or I'm not ready to let my baby go! I think this year will be a dramatic one as far as my baby boy growing into a big kid!
Chasen and Sophia went to a friend's birthday party today. It was a dress up princess party which is not so easy for a little boy! But my mom sewed him this amazing knight outfit and it was a big hit! He loved wearing it and was even trying to put it back on after his nap today! Princess Sophia was also popular at the party. She looks so pretty!
