This blog is for Auntie Joyce!

I had to post these pictures so Great Auntie Joyce could see Sophia in her personalized outfit! She's worn it a few times (now that she's big enough to fit into Newborn sizes), but we always seemed to forget to take a picture! She looks so sweet in her one-of-a-kind jacket! Chasen really liked posing with her too. There were multiple shots I had of him looking and smiling at the camera, but I somehow had everyone out of focus. So even though he's not looking, you can see how happy he is to be with his baby sister!

Good news this week, I finished my portfolio for certification! It still has to be reviewed and I might have to change some things, but this is a huge stress relief! Now I just have to focus on the classes I am taking and getting ready for that science test! The science test is in one month. I feel like I have enough time to study for it, it's just a matter of doing it! Science is interesting, I don't mind reading about it. But Stephen King is more exciting right now!

Sophia's Photo Shoot!

Sophia's pictures are in! This picture is just a teaser, go to our Shutterfly page (pictures and videos link) and look under the folder Robin Slicker photos. Robin is the photographer who captured the beauty of our little girl-and the mischievousness of our little boy!

Time is flying by at home. Only a few more weeks and I will be back working! The good news, is that I only have to work for two weeks and then I'm off for spring break. After that, seven more weeks and I'm off for the summer!

The Millers are back from their extended visit out west. I calculated that they had been gone about 50 days! I'm excited to see what unfolds as Joy finishes Sophia's mural. What she has done so far is great, but far from what the end result will be I'm sure!

Snow Storm 2010!

Georgia had it's annual Snow Day and boy was it crazy! Schools all over shut down on Friday the 12th, ruining Valentine's Day for millions of studnets! The counties around us are out this week for Winter Break, so not only did students not get their Valentine's celebrations, they won't be back in school until next week!

The streets were a mess where we lived. Our house is on a hill in our neighborhood, right before an intersecting street. At one point, we had 6 cars stuck in front of our house! Cars were sliding on the ice and afraid to go any futher, or they couldn't go! Silka came over that night and had to park her car two houses up and spend the night. Our neighbor had his truck hit by a crazy woman who thought she could fly down the street, despite all the cars stuck there!

Chasen had a good time though. He played out in the snow that night and the next day. The kid is mad about eating snow. He must have at his weight in fluff! Justin and Chasen built the tallest snowman ever, it's still standing in our yard minus the head! All the snow is gone now, but Frosty still remains!

We hope everyone likes our new website www.justinandjacinda.com! I think it gives spectators a lot more options to see our little family. Just in case you haven't explored it yet, when you click on "Pictures and Videos" it takes you to our Shutterfly account. I have all pictures dealing with Chasen in his various folders and all Sophia pictures under Sophia's folder. Videos are below the pictures that Justin has made throughout the years...they are too funny! There is also a tab at the top that says "What's New". This allows you to see all pictures that have been added lately to the albums. With this tab, you don't have to look through the entire album to see new pictures, just view them this way. I put more pictures on the Shutterfly site than I do the blog so be sure to check the "What's New" tab once in a while to see those pictures! Enjoy!

Valentine's Week

This Valentine's week has been very interesting! First I was the "Perfect Mom" and baked cupcakes to bring to Chasen's preschool on Thursday. I thought they were having a Valentine's party, but I was the only mom there! I had a lot of fun though, playing with the kids and joining them in their games. I think I got a better picture of what really goes on at preschool through that experience compared to a "party" so I'm glad I went! And the cupcakes were a big hit-of course!

Sophia has been adding a lot of happiness to our Valentine's week by starting to smile! She is so cute when she smiles! Sometimes it's like the picture here and other times it's an open mouth smile which is really sweet! Of course, the camera can never work as quickly as we would like so I was thrilled that I got this one picture of her smiling!

We also had a big "Snow Storm" last night. Once we get done taking snow pictures, I will post those for everyone to see!

Indoor Camping

Justin had a great ideas for our Friday night entertainment-Indoor Camping! We roasted hotdogs and marshmallows over the "fire" and pitched a tent downstairs in our movie room. Justin and Chasen spent the night in the tent togethr while mommy got a luxerious night of sleeping alone! Chasen had a blast! Sophia slept through it all...but I added a picture of her just to show off how pretty she is!

The website is updated and has a lot of neat features. Be sure to check out www.justinandjacinda.com to see! There are also more camping and Sophia pictures under the Chasen and Sophia picture folders.
