It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Since Nana Joy and Papa Bear weren't putting on Thanksgiving this year, they got a head's up on Christmas decorating! Chasen went over to help them, and boy were they surprised! Chasen knew where all the decorations went, remembering it from last year! They said he was so careful and really enjoyed helping out. This second picture....I'm not sure if he's in love with the tree or taking a nap! Maybe the Millers worked him a little too hard! From the rave reviews we've gotten on his designer abilities, we are now hiring him out to decorate your house! He can be paid with cookies, chocolate milk, and anything Buzz Lightyear!

Does this mean he gets an allowance now?

Fall is finally here for the Millers! It took a while, but our yard is now full of leaves. Being that we don't have a leaf blower, Justin "vacuums" the leaves with the lawn mower. Chasen helped out for the first time today with that task! He helped clean up the yard, he also helped mess up the yard jumping into piles of leaves. But that's what leaf piles are made for-little boys! He also explored the creek in our woods. He was so happy he actually smiled for pictures-this is very rare!

I have one more week until my Thanksgiving break! I'm so excited about having a week off again. After I return, only three more weeks and then I'm off for Christmas and maternity leave! It's hard to believe that we will be having Sophia in six weeks! Of course that's if she hangs in until then. This pregnancy is so different that Chasen's. I'm much more comfortable-minus the constant heartburn and backaches. But the funny thing is, it's like she's riding lower. I have a lot of pressure in my lower abdomen. Sometimes the pressure is really uncomfortable. I also have random pains as well. I don't remember that with Chasen. I guess every pregnancy is different. And since Chasen already stretched out some room the "baby shack" is a little different for Sophia!

Halloween Do-Over!

Here in Georgia, Halloween was a big "wash out"! It rained all day and drizzled into the night. But we love our Chasen, so we took him to one of the only trunk-or-treats still in progress down at Heritage Hills. It was cold, it was wet, there was no jump-house...

We demand a Halloween Do-Over!

Well, besides all of those things, Chasen still enjoyed himself. He dressed up as a fireman but didn't keep his coat or hat on for very long. He roasted marshmallows for the first time at a parking-lot camp fire. Big hit with those! Roasted marshmallows encompass two of Chasen's favorite things-fire and sugar! He was very shy about collecting the candy though. He wouldn't give anyone his bag, he wouldn't say anything-not trick or treat or thank you, and if the person knew him and said his name he turned his back on them and hung his head down! I think it was a lot to take in for a 3 year old. But mommy collected his candy for him so he (we) has some snacks for this week.
We then went to Tava's Pizza for dinner where Chasen took advantage of the owner and had a personalized restaurant tour! He was very curious about everything. "What's that? What's that?" is all we heard from the kitchen! Of course he wouldn't eat his pizza, so he will have it today for lunch. He tells us he wants pizza every time but never eats it! Not eating fresh cheesy pizza on a cold night is beyond me!
