Our curious little monkey!

We took Chasen to the Children's Museum today for the Curious George exhibit! We ended up at the museum at 1:00 and let me tell you, that's the best time to go! We've never been there when it was so empty! Toward the end of the day each kid had their own exhibit to play with because everyone had gone home. Unfortunately, mommy got tired and we had to drag Chasen out kicking and screaming! As you can see in the pictures, he had some dress up fun. That's the first time he was ever interested in that part of the museum. He played doctor and gave us a few shots. Of course he had just seen it happen not too much earlier when we all took a family visit to the health clinic! Justin and Chasen got swine flu shots and I got the seasonal flu shot. The swine flu shot is not available for people in my delicate condition yet!
One other thing that I had to mention because it was so sweet....
When we got home I tried to take a nap with Chasen in our room. He was tossing and turning trying to get comfortable and I rolled over onto my left side facing him. When he sensed that I had rolled over, he turned and looked at me for a few seconds. I knew that he was watching me so I didn't open my eyes and pretended to be asleep. Chasen says "Ahhhh, mommy is so pretty." My heart just melted! It's the best compliment I've ever gotten! I love my little boy! And I love Justin too, he told me to write that just now...(but I really do!)

Making chores...fun?!?

Words of warning-don't ever let this kid change your sheets! You'll end up with a big wiggly-giggly lump in your bed!I'm on Fall Break this week, which means no work! Unfortunatly, it doesn't mean no college so I still have to go to classes. But I'm looking forward to a week of sleeping in, at least until Chasen wakes me up telling me he has to go to the potty! He woke me up at 3AM the other morning, but it's a small price to pay for dry undies! Of course, why he has to wake me up to go do it himself is another question! We plan on taking Chasen to the Children's Museum this week to see the new Curious George exhibit. I think he will be really excited to see his hero and get into some "monkey business"!
Things on the baby front are going well. We have everything we need now, just waiting on the baby! I think we have enough clothes for the first 3 months...my mom and I went a little "nutty" for Pecan at the latest sales. Justin cracks me up at all of our doctor visits now. We have to go every two weeks and he is just dumbfounded that pregnant women have to see the doctor so much! All just to weight me, get a blood pressure check, and hear the baby's heartbeat! All my tests have come back well, no gestational diabetes for me! It's hard to believe that we only have two and a half months left!
