Choo! Choo!

So I know I haven't blogged in a long time and now I blog two days in a row! Shame on me! I had to post some of these pictures of Chasen from the mall yesterday. Papa Bear and Chasen had a good time riding on the train and other adventures I found out about after getting the pictures today! I will only post these two though to tease you a little bit. I played around with them with Picasa photo software. I love that program! It's free and you can really do some neat things with photos using it. I also like Adobe CS2 but that is NOT free. That's a good program if you need to do some serious editing. Tonight we are going to the Candlelight Christmas Eve service at my church with my family. Chasen is going to attend with us. We're taking bets how long he lasts sitting in a pew!

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Chasen has been all about Santa this Christmas. Every Santa he sees he shouts "Ho Ho Ho"!!! So, we thought that maybe we could get our first visit on Santa's lap this year. Last year Chasen met Santa and was scared of men with beards for months. Preschool tried in November, but Chasen wanted nothing to do with that Santa who was obviously way to early coming before Thanksgiving! Joy and Barry wanted to treat us to a Santa picture so we all went to the mall today. The line was very short and it ends up that Santa is the uncle of a co-worker of mine (I didn't know that Santa had nephews) so we felt pretty good about our chances. When we tried to introduce Santa to our son, Chasen clung to me for dear life and dug in his little fingers shaking his head no-no-no! I thought he was going to go ho-ho-ho! So, Santa had a great idea and we all got in the picture. Chasen sat on my lap, not Santa's. We got the picture, but Chasen wasn't able to tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas so I guess he'll just get coal....

Now, you know I wouldn't let that happen! Merry Christmas everyone!

It's almost over!

My fall semester at GSU is almost over. Tonight is the last night of class, I just have one large project (to start) and turn in. This semester has been a lot more work than I expected. Come to think of it, the summer semester was more than I expected as well! I spent my entire Thanksgiving week doing projects and writing papers. I am so over it!!

On another note, here are pictures of Chasen on my parents' swingset they bought him. He enjoys playing out in their backyard-even in the cold! He has been doing well, growing up way too quickly! I can't wait until my Christmas break-two weeks off and NO SCHOOL WORK when I can spend some quality holiday time with him! We are being brave this year and putting up our Christmas tree. I plan to bake and decorate some Christmas cookies with him. We might even take another trip to the Children's Museum. There is a "Bob the Builder" display there throughout the holidays.

Pictures to come.....we have had a total home makeover. I don't remember if I mentioned it before but Justin surprised me for our anniversary and with the help of his mom painted the downstairs bathroom to look like leather was on the walls! It was such a bathroom makeover that Justin got a new sink faucet and while getting ready to install it flooded the downstairs!!! So, we took this opportunity to get new floors and carpet. We have all new carpet downstairs, painted the office and got new furniture, got wood floors downstairs and in the foyer, kitchen, AND dining room. Plus, Joy fauxed a million-dollar finish on our kitchen cabinets! We also got the carpet company to throw in new carpet for the stairs for free! So, virtually 75% of our home has been redone! Oh, and Justin painted the dining room too! I will take some pictures soon and post them for everyone to rave over!
