More of the beach babe!

Due to popular demand, here are some more pictures of Chasen in Sandestin! I feel like we will never get all the sand out of my car!

Chase will be 2 next week on July 28th! It seems like we just had his first birthday party yesterday! He's changed a lot in a year and has developed such a little personality! He just started his "no"stage in the last week or so. I guess I'm lucky, some moms have been dealing with "no" for months! But he is telling me "no" a lot, surely when it comes to eating. I don't know when it happened, but he has become your typical picky eater! Justin and I are shocked and dismayed! We thought that we would raise a kid who would try and like everything. And for a while, he did. But he has food swings like mommy has mood swings! One day he loves blueberries, the next day he hates them. He also is picky about how things are arranged on his plate. He doesn't like more than one food at a time. If you try to give him more than one, he will hand you the second food-every last bite of it! Of course, he has to bring his two stuffed fish toys to eat with him if they are around. He is stuffed in his high chair like a sardine with a toy on each side of him, trying to feed himself AND the toys. Dinner time makes me want to scream, cry, and crack up laughing all at the same time! The cute part is, when he does like something, he nods his head up and down in approval and makes a "hmmm" sound just like he did when he was a baby. It just makes me want to find more food that is "hmmm" worthy!

Beach Baby

We had a wonderful time as a family down in Sandestin, FL. Chasen got to meet his great grandfather and he loved spending time on the beautiful white sandy beaches. No fear of the water this time! He had a great time at the resort and mom and dad had a great time shopping and fishing! Justin even caught a pufferfish! Of course, we didn't eat it! It was nice to have my parents and sister with us to share in our adventures and help out with Chasen. He was so excited to be down there, he was quite a handfull! He fell asleep before he could see the 4th of July fireworks, but Justin and I got to enjoy them. That's the third time we've seen them in Destin together. Destin has changed a lot, and for the better! It is a lot more richy than it was a few years ago. The shopping and night life was great. Justin and I enjoyed our night out at the resort Wharf and spending some adult time out on the town! I hope we get to go back again soon, it was a really fun time!
