Easter weekend

We had a very nice Easter weekend, very busy getting our party on! We had Justin's aunt and uncle plus family over on Good Friday for a fish fry. We were told it was going to be a fish fry that day which was a surprise to us! Good thing we have a deep freezer in the garage. Looks like we will be having lasagna for dinner this week! Saturday night I had my family over and we cooked our first ham! I did not pay much attention to the cooking instructions and thought that it would only take 45 minutes to cook....it was more like 2 hours and 45 minutes! Woops! But everyone hung in there and it was too yummy! We had ham at Joy's house Sunday along with some spiked bird shots......I'll leave that up to the imagination! It was all very nice and Chasen enjoyed his egg hunt. He also enjoyed a duck that came to visit and tried to jump in the lake with him to swim! It's back to school tomorrow, I think we need a few days to recover from our parties!

Easter's On Its Way!

I can't believe it's been so long since we last posted. We have just been so busy!
I wish I could say that we were busy refinishing our kitchen cabinets, but that project has been stalled out. Justin has turned our downstairs room into a home theater and has been very busy with that. We watch a movie a night lately on the "big screen". The projector we have lets us watch movies over 6 feet wide!
Chasen is changing a lot. He understands so much more now, though he doesn't talk much still. But he can point out his eyes, ears, nose, and mouth. He also does several animal sounds as well. His cat sound is too cute! He shakes "yes" and "no". He scraped himself up quite a bit playing outside with daddy and when we were pointing out his boo boo's he was saying "bo bo". Pretty close! He says "da" for dog and my parents say he says "nana" for banana. Though I'm sure some other folks might claim otherwise......
We will be having a family weekend. Justin's Uncle Bill and Aunt Pat are coming over for dinner on Friday, we are having my family and friend over on Saturday, and Easter at the Miller's house on Sunday! I think Chasen will get his fill out Easter egg hunting. I know he's been having fun over here finding the eggs, he also breaks them apart and throws them around so I will be glad to see Easter come and go! Happy Easter everyone!
