A basket of sweets

We hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day! It was interesting for us being in the schools and seeing all the activities there. Everyone at my school walked around with bears and chocolates, and of course misbehaving! Justin surprised me and sent 18 red roses to my office. They are so pretty and it made me feel so special! We went out to eat last weekend instead of V-day, but he cooked a very nice dinner. Chasen had a litttle party at day-care and had a homemade valentine for us. He got loaded down with candy and cards!

Justin and I are off for "winter break" this week and are already busy working on our kitchen. We have installed the remainder of our cabinets and should have someone coming out next week to measure for countertops. We decided to have them professionaly installed instead of doing them ourselves. Our meaurements wouldn't work with what's out there, and we were scared to take on such a big project! We are still going to paint the cabinets and redo the walls as well (now that we tore them up with the cabinets). Later, when our taxes come in we will get the floors done, which will really make a difference. I'm excited!

I'm a slacker!

Sorry it's been so long since our last post! We have ben busy (and tired)!

Working in the school system can really take a toll on one's health. Justin, Chasen, and I have been sick the last few weeks. I never knew so much could come out of such a small and cute little nose!

Other than that, life is pretty good! Justin and I have a "project" planned for our "Winter Break" week off coming soon. We are going to finally install the rest of our kitchen cabinets and do a finish on our old ones. After that, we would start to work on the countertops and floor. I think in a few months we will be very happy with our kitchen. Noone has updated our kitchen since our house was built in '89! Yuck!
Chase is getting smarter every day. He understands so much now, and can shake his head "yes" or "no". He can follow simple commands and knows what he "should" do. If he actually does it is another issue! He enjoys drawing now, though we still have to watch him because he likes to eat the crayons......He loves to dance and spin himself in circles. He is really enjoying playing hide and seek. He is always hiding himself, or his toys which is pretty funny. He is becoming quit3e a copy-cat as well. He wants to do everything that we do! The other week we went to the doctor and he is in the 90th percentile for height! Everthing else checked out really well, and we were very happy with our new doctor (doctor number 5). It's hard to believe he is 18 months old now, how time flies!
