Someone get this kid a haircut!

This week has been a hard one for baby. He has been teething and miserable all week! The drool is out of control, he got a really runny nose, and is just cranky! I saw that his other first molar came in on the top, and I can see that some bottom teeth are getting ready to sprout. The good thing is, within 6 months or so, all of these pains will be gone! Then, he won't get his other teeth for a few years. Pictured here is Chasen chilling at the grandparent's. Yes he needs a haircut!

Tuesday I have an interview with GSU to get into their master's program. How official! I don't know why they need an interview, maybe they just get so many applications. I hope I pass! They are the only state-run school offering certification. Other schools are private, which will cost twice as much!

We are going to take Chasen to his first "trunk-or-treat" on Wednesday. It's a church affair where kids go to car "trunks" to get their "treats". There are other activities as well. I don't think he's ready to go door-to-door. (Mommy's not ready either) But it will be a good excuse to get him in his costume and show him off!

Back to school....

Sorry to take so long on the blog, we have been busy!

Justin and I were off last week, cramming in doctor visits and getting things done. We took Chasen to his first dental visit. They told us all about brushing and advised us to get him off of the bottle. It wasn't easy, but he's been bottle-free for over a week now! The dentist also showed us that he had a "secret" tooth that had come in we had not known about. He had his first molar! We were very surprised to see it. We noticed two days ago that he has his bottom molar as well peeking thru. It's funny though, both molars are on the left side of his mouth. He also has another tooth on his left side, but not a matching right. For some reason, everything is coming in on one side first!

Next week he will start going to a preschool for children his age. It will be one day a week for three hours. We hope he will get a good exposure to other children and other adults. And maybe get some way to expend all his energy! He's such an active boy now that he can walk. He doesn't want to sit still anymore, it's just go-go-go! This picture of us looks calm, but he was about to pass out from exhaustion when we took it!

Speaking of exhaustion, Justin and I are so tired this week! It's hard going back to work after having an entire week off. We are so sleepy! I'm glad the weekend is here, though I imagine we will be busy. Our two-year anniversary is on Tuesday, so we might do some celebrating this weekend. I hope so! Two years is a lot to celebrate!
