Happy Birthday Chasen!

Today, Chasen is 6 months old! Such a big boy! It's hard to believe that he has been with us for 6 months already, but at the same time it seems like he's been with us forever!

Lots of new things for Chase this month. We started rice cereal and oatmeal at 4 months. About 5 months he finally got the hang of it and swallowed! Now we've moved on to fruits and vegies and that has been a little bit of a challenge. He loves EVERYTHING which is really good. He especially enjoyed bananas, they were the first food he actually licked his lips over! But, the bananas made him constipated. So we gave him applesauce, which made him spit up like crazy. So I gave him prunes, and that gave him diarrhea! We go to the doctor on Tuesday thank goodness! For the time being, none of those again! So that leaves us with squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, and carrots for now! He sure does love to eat! And why wouldn't he-he's a Miller!

I am only teaching one class this semester at Dekalb Tech. I have started tutoring the days I'm not there. I have my first Conyers private-student (yeah!) and I teach at a popular tutoring center also. I am tutoring a boy in ACT prep now. That's a lot to cover!

Justin is busy digging a trail in our backyard to our creek. We have such a steep hill so he is making plateaus so that it will be easy to go up and down the hill. It's a lot of work! But it's easier to do now that all the leaves are gone and we can see where to dig. Hopefully by spring we will have a nice spot to sit at the creek and "reflect". Spring may be here before we know it though, our trees are already starting to bud and one of our bushes is already in full bloom!

Happy New Year '07!

Happy New Year! I hope everyone rang in the new year with style....some of us couldn't stay awake to see the big ball drop!

I've finally gotten Justin to come over to the dark side.....we are eating better and working out more. I've lost 10 lbs so far with Weight Watchers (only half a lb during Christmas break but that's pretty good!) It gets easier and I'm not as hungry as I was when I started. I'm keeping track of Justin's points too-now that's fun! I'm not keeping track of Chase's points though-he just keeps growing and growing! Sometimes we think he grows overnight! We are still waiting to see when his first tooth springs out, he drools enough for two dogs!

I've been busy job hunting. I'm ready to go back to work, now I just need to find an employer who can handle me! I've contacted some schools in the meantime and am on their tutoring list. Hopefully I can get some students for after-school math tutoring. I would love to be able to get a good client base with tutoring but I know that will take some time to get going.

Justin turns 31 on the 16th. I don't know our plans yet, but we will probably keep it low key. OK, well I'm off to walk in our neighborhood!
