Ho Ho Ho!!!

We hope everyone had a very merry Christmas! We had 3 full days of holiday cheer! Saturday I hosted a small gathering for our family and we pigged out on all sorts of goodies. Sunday we went over and had Christmas with my parents, and on Sunday we went over to J&B's. Joy was feeling much better, it was hard to tell that she had just had surgery a few days before!

Chasen got some cool gifts-penguin bowling, stacker toys, stuffed toys, outfits, his own aquarium (it's play-fish), and plenty of things to shake and make noise with. He loves opening gifts! I have a picture of him here with Papa Bear opening a suds-maker Auntie Joyce got him. We can't wait to make our bubble bath! I might have to test it out first on myself though.......

I gave Justin some outside lighting and a big belt buckle that says "J", he loves it! He gave me a new black coat, and I wore it today for the first time. It's starting to get cold now, hopefully it will stay like this for a while. We already saw one tree starting to bloom, it will be a surprised tree when the frosts finally hit!

Thank you for all the Christmas cards, it was our first year of so many! It's so nice to get something fun and festive in the mail (to go along with the bills)!

We don't have any plans for New Year's. I hope we stay at home though! Boy I'm getting old! I am ready for bed way before midnight even hits!

Are you sure it's Christmas?

I know there are only 7 days left until Christmas, but it sure doesn't feel like it here in Georgia! We have been having great weather-Justin is wearing shorts! I like it to feel a little cooler when Christmas comes around. Sure, we never have snow but a little chill wouldn't hurt anyone!

Chase is all ready for Christmas. He has worn each Christmas outfit a few times and has made his rounds. He changes so much in such a short amount of time! He has learned so much this week alone! He has now discovered his feet and is grabbing them and playing with them all the time. I wonder if he thinks they are as cute as I do? He has also discovered how his toys work! He has a swing which has things to pull that make the music, he now knows how to use those. And just in the past 3 days he has figured out that the aquarium crib toy has things that spin and make noise. He is always playing with that now, as well as turning the music on and off! What's next? His ABC's? Also, did I mention that he rolled over from his stomach? That was a big milestone!

I'm off work until January, which is really nice. We have one more party tonight and Saturday I am having all the family over for an appetizer party. Then Sunday we go to my mom's and Monday we go to Justin's mom's. It's so nice to be so close to our families now, it is more of a pleasure since we don't have to drive an hour to see them! Our sisters on the other hand both have to drive 3 hours to be here!

We FINALLY have our garage door opener! Ours died a few months back when a power surge occurred and we have been without the use of our garage for such a long time! Actually, this happened before Chase was even born! It is a lot easier to load the baby in the car now then trying to get up and down the front stairs with his carrier. Those things are so heavy! And then add the weight of a sack of potatoes and UH!!!

If I don't get to blog before Christmas-everyone have a wonderful holiday and watch out for the eggnog! So many "Points"!!

Proud Pappa

I just had to post this picture of Justin and Chase. How cute are they together?

I did my holiday shopping today, it wasn't too bad. I can imagine the weekends must be a mad house though! I can't wait until next year when I can go crazy with the toys! But don't worry, I am not rushing him! He can stay little for as long as he wants!

All I want for Christmas.....

All I want for Christmas I already have! Santa came early this year and left us something special in our stockings!

We are gearing up for Christmas here at home. Our tree and decorations are up and we are ready for the holiday parties! (So feel free to invite us!)

Chasen had his 4-month checkup and shots. 15 lbs and 26 inches! He is right on target for weight and is very tall for his age. He reacted much better to the shots this round. He was a tad cranky, but no more than other days. Much better than the cry-fest a few weeks ago. No one would have wanted tickets to that show!

Weight Watchers is going well, I've lost 5.4 lbs since starting three weeks ago. Pretty good start, surely with Thanksgiving! Now, I just have to behave for the rest of the month! My mom and I went to a tea yesterday and I had some yummy snacks. Hopefully those won't show up later.

My quarter teaching is almost over, I am looking forward to the break! I complain that Dekalb Tech should be on a semester system in order to cover all the material they want, but on the other hand that would make the classes longer! I am out next Wednesday and don't have to go back until the 2nd week of January!

Everyone enjoy their holiday shopping this week!
