Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day to everyone. I hope most of you have a three-day weekend at least!

Nothing new on the homefront here. Justin's mom is still in Seattle with Grandma, Barry is working, and my parents are in Illinois with the Baptist Home Builders building a new church. We are staying at home today and cleaning-still trying to get moved into this house!

Things are going well though, we have made a ton of progress this weekend! Justin even washed my car....how sweet!

pregnancy is going and going and going. Justin said it feels like we got married last week but that I've been pregnant for as long as he's known me! 8 more weeks to go! Little "P" is still moving around, though not kicking quite as hard as before. I think he's running out of room! We are going to start on the nursery this week and in the next few weeks get all the furniture. Just counting down the days!

3-D Baby Shoot

My friends Amy, Allison, and Karen gave us a gift certificate to get 3-d/4-d pictures of the baby. We went yesterday and had so much fun. But, like I have predicted before-Pistachio is shy!!! The WHOLE TIME he had his face covered by his arms, hands, and sometimes feet! He never let us get a good facial shot! The pictures above show him with his arm over his face-typical, and also the best phot we got where he exposed his face-almost!

We tried everything: rolling over, cold water, chocolate, and a lot of poking to get the little guy to move but oh no! He was comfortable that way and wasn't going to change his position just because we were asking! I think he's a little camera shy.....he was also very sleepy. He kept yawning, which was as cute as can be. Who knew they yawned in all that fluid? He wasn't shy, on the other hand, about proving that he was a boy! No doubt there!

He is measuring a week beyond my due date, but she said that was normal. He weighs 4 lbs right now, so he will probably be more on the 8 lb + side in the end. I think Justin was a heavier baby as well. We were able to see his cute little chubby cheeks and his eyes, nose, and mouth-all look great! And Pistachio enjoys playing with his feet and chewing on his cord! Yum yum! Thank you Amy, Allison, and Karen for such a great and fun gift!

A Fishy Baby Shower!

Sunday April 30th, Joy and Barry hosted our fish-themed baby shower. It was over the top! The rain held out and we were able to enjoy ourselves on their larger-than-life deck overlooking the lake. An assortment of friends came to share in the festivities, we even had the pleasure of seeing Justin's Aunt Pat and Uncle Bill, as well as some other long-time friends of the family who were here visiting from Florida and Seattle!

The food was great-crab cakes, stuffed chicken, and of course plenty of Pistachios! Everyone brought such nice presents as well. This is going to be one spoiled baby! Justin and I have already been playing with some of the toys. So much fun! Thank you to everyone who was able to attend!

Justin as added some more shower pictures to the website under "pictures-now-baby shower".
